RG402 - semi rigid co-ax similar to that used for many 5ghz FPV antennas. Nicely sized for your avearage SMA connector

Type 31 Ferrite - EMI suppression from 1 to 500MHz.

Type 43 Ferrite

43 material Nickel Zinc suitable for wideband transformers up to 50MHz, and suppression of EMI from 3 to 250MHz bands ui=800.  43 material is also ideal for suppression of switching noise from switch mode power supplies by winding the mains power cable through a larger toroidal core multiple times.  These are also recommended for use on HDMI cables from computer video cards to suppress noise in the 3 to 20MHz bands.  Commonly used for construction of 3 to 30MHz Antenna Baluns and 1:1common mode RF chokes.  Refer to the 43 Material Data Sheet for more information.

Quangsheng UV-K6 (V2???) Problems

  This radio is marked as a "UV-K6" on the confirmity/serial number sticker. On the motherboard is a "V2" that was written on the ground at the factory. The MCU is markings are: PY32F030 K28T6 2G1TK1B See below for photos of what I believe are significant identification markings. At some point I had this running, the version shown below but now the radio will not boot into the OS/Firmware, but it will go to DFU mode. I.e. LED on, nothing on screen.  Note the "V2" Sharpied onto the ground in the image below. That V2 was added in the factory and on the board when I first opened it.   The parts on this page were from an order from https://www.sotabeams.co.uk/ - a UK business that makes and sells antennaes, antannae components for DIYers and other radio related components and kit. The found (apparently now retired) Richard Newstead (G3CWI) used to have a great You Tube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/g3cwi but sadly it appears he has made the videos private now :-(.
