Quangsheng UV-K6 (V2???) Problems

 


This radio is marked as a "UV-K6" on the confirmity/serial number sticker.

On the motherboard is a "V2" that was written on the ground at the factory.
The MCU is markings are:

PY32F030
K28T6
2G1TK1B

See below for photos of what I believe are significant identification markings.

At some point I had this running, the version shown below but now the radio will not boot into the OS/Firmware, but it will go to DFU mode. I.e. LED on, nothing on screen.


 Note the "V2" Sharpied onto the ground in the image below.
That V2 was added in the factory and on the board when I first opened it.

  The parts on this page were from an order from https://www.sotabeams.co.uk/ - a UK business that makes and sells antennaes, antannae components for DIYers and other radio related components and kit. The found (apparently now retired) Richard Newstead (G3CWI) used to have a great You Tube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/g3cwi but sadly it appears he has made the videos private now :-(.
